Pork Tacos

Pork tacos are a bold, savory favorite—tender, juicy pork tucked into warm tortillas and topped with fresh garnishes. Whether you go with slow-cooked pulled pork, crispy carnitas, or spicy marinated slices, pork tacos are endlessly customizable and packed with flavor. Add some salsa, cilantro, and a squeeze of lime, and you’ve got a perfect bite every time.

Ingredients

For the pork:

2–3 lbs pork shoulder or pork butt

1 tbsp olive oil

1 tbsp chili powder

1 tsp cumin

1 tsp paprika

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp oregano

1½ tsp salt

1 orange (juiced)

1 lime (juiced)

½ cup chicken broth

For the tacos:

Corn or flour tortillas

Chopped white onion

Fresh cilantro

Salsa or hot sauce

Lime wedges

Optional: avocado, shredded cabbage, cotija cheese

Instructions

1. Season the pork

Mix all dry spices and rub over pork. Place in slow cooker with orange juice, lime juice, and chicken broth.

2. Cook

Cover and cook on LOW for 8 hours or HIGH for 4–5 hours, until the pork shreds easily with a fork.

3. Shred & crisp (optional)

Remove pork, shred it, and return it to the juices—or for crispy tacos, spread pork on a baking sheet and broil for 5–8 minutes until edges are golden.

4. Assemble tacos

Warm tortillas, then fill with pork. Top with onions, cilantro, salsa, and a squeeze of lime.
