Delicious Pork Butt Recipes

1. Smoked Pulled Pork (Bone-In)

Ingredients:

  • 6–8 lb bone-in pork butt
  • 3 tbsp BBQ dry rub
  • 1/2 cup apple juice or cider

Instructions:

  1. Rub pork with seasoning.
  2. Smoke at 225°F for 8–10 hours, spritzing with apple juice.
  3. Wrap in foil and cook to 195–203°F internal temp.
  4. Rest, then shred and serve with sauce.
2. Oven-Roasted Boneless Pork Butt

Ingredients:

  • 4–5 lb boneless pork butt
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp rosemary
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • Salt & pepper

Instructions:

  1. Rub meat with oil and spices.
  2. Roast at 300°F for 3–4 hours, covered.
  3. Uncover and increase to 400°F for 20 mins to crisp.
  4. Slice or shred.



3. Pork Carnitas (Boneless)

Ingredients:

  • 3–4 lbs boneless pork butt, cut into chunks
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup lime juice
  • 1 onion, quartered
  • 4 garlic cloves


Instructions:

  1. Add all ingredients to a Dutch oven.
  2. Simmer covered for 2.5–3 hours.
  3. Remove lid and cook until liquid evaporates and pork browns.
  4. Shred and serve in tacos.
4. Braised Pork Butt with Onions

Ingredients:

  • 3–5 lb pork butt
  • 2 onions, sliced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt & pepper

Instructions:

  1. Sear pork, then remove.
  2. Sauté onions, add pork back with broth and seasoning.
  3. Cover and braise at 325°F for 3 hours.
  4. Serve with mashed potatoes.
5. Slow Cooker Pork Butt

Ingredients:

  • 4 lbs pork butt
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1/2 cup broth
  • 1 onion, chopped

    Instructions:
  1. Place pork in slow cooker with onion and broth.
  2. Cook on low for 8–10 hours.
  3. Shred and mix with BBQ sauce.
  4. Serve on sandwiches or bowls.
